About Us
Since our first issue debuted in March 1958, Palm Springs Life has been Southern California’s premier source for arts, architecture and design, entertainment, golf and tennis, fashion, society, music, and celebrity happenings in and around Greater Palm Springs.
Before Palm Springs Life, there was Palm Springs Villager, established in February 1947.
Through our nascent years, we featured such stars as Frank Sinatra, Dinah Shore, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Arnold Palmer, Sonny Bono, and Bob Hope in our pages and on our covers. Today, we continue to celebrate the people, places, and culture of Greater Palm Springs — while also showcasing the modern-day stars who continue to steal away and recharge in our sun-drenched resort community.
The magazine — and its supplements, including Home+Design, Arts+Culture, and Weddings, among others — enjoys an international audience, largely driven by the desert’s world-class film, music, and art festivals as well as cultural juggernauts such as Desert X and Modernism Week. Smart and visually compelling, this publication is a hefty and lavish delight for the senses with wonderful visual surprises — the perfect adornment to any coffee table.
Our store features limited-edition, premium apparel and accessories as well as a library of back issues, books, cover posters, art prints, and more. Show off your love of the desert or gift a bit of midcentury glamour to someone you hold dear.
